Me thinks this one is kinda confusing..... It's the last letter of the word that is used for the ABC order.
The word was 'Improv' so then the next word should end with a 'W' like ----
Bungalow
Next word should end in 'X'

to determine what the next word should end with --
( now that I re-read my instructions, yeah that is confusing
