Re: What are you playing?

Hmmm, I have to check out this Emerald Tale.  Sounds fun!

I am playing Grim Tales, The Vengeance.  Good game if you like Adventure games.

Re: What are you playing?

Fire, I do have Grim Tales: The Vengeance CE....I just haven't played it yet.  Have you finished it already?  I love all genres of games.....Adventure, HOG, M3, TM, Puzzle, Strategy, Card and Board, Mahjong, Marble Popper.  The only Word game I have is Bookworm Adventures and I love it !!!

Re: What are you playing?

Yay!  My game tip got another Emerald Tale fan!  You're welcome Linda.  I just stumbled across it while looking for something to use a game code on.  Played 3 other demos before Emerald Tale and was on the fence about them.  Then I played this demo and before I knew it, my tiral time was over.  I knew then that it was the one to get, as I rarely play a trial all the way through.

Barre...I love Bookwork adventures too!  Another word game you need to try is PictoWords.  I love this one and have played it many times, so it is a good deal as it has replay value.  It kind of reminds me of Concentration, which is an old TV show and also a board game.

Re: What are you playing?

Have to say I tried Emerald Tale and I must not have been in the mood for it because it didn't appeal to me.  I didn't play the entire length of the demo, so maybe I'll try it again later.  I did play the demo for Witchcraft:  The Lotus Elixer and loved it!  It seems to be one of those games that people either love or hate.  Lots of both in the forum an the old place.  It's a first effort by the devs and the artwork is gorgeous.  It has some quirks, which is probably why people didn't like it, but I found it very fun.  It's a HOPA and looks to be long for an SE.

Dahlia, there is a new Northern Tale game out today!  The Vikings are at it again!  Love those games.

I have Grim Tales:  The Vengance, but don't really remember much about it.  Seems I forget most games as soon as I'm done with them.  Must be CRS!

Re: What are you playing?

Have downloaded the new Northern Tale Lady but haven't tried it yet.  I am sure I will love it though, as I love all the others.

Re: What are you playing?

Coors - I will try PictoWords like you suggest.

Lady - I tried to download Witchcraft: The Lotus Elixer twice but both times the game would not open for me.  It just hangs, so regretfully I have uninstalled and guess I won't be trying it.  The artwork looks lovely and I hope there will be a fix for it.

Linda - I just downloaded Northern Tale 4 too.  I have the first 3.  I love all TM games by Realore.

Re: What are you playing?

I just played the demo for the new Amaranthine Voyage.  I played the beta quite a while ago and didn't think they  could improve on it because it was really good, but wow!  The demo has improvements and is great!  I know that people complain about the colors used in some of the games because they think there is too much purple and blue.  There is a lot of both in this game, but the colors are soft and don't hurt my eyes.  One thing I've noticed in several Eipix games is that they seem to use lots of simulated lense flares like those seen in movies directed by J. J. Abrams.  The two new Star Trek movies, for example.  Don't know if it's an intentional imitation or just an effect that they think enhances the games.  I notice it mostly in the HOS.  Of course, their intention could be something totally different from lense flares, but that's what they look like to me.  Has anyone else noticed?  Just curious.

Dahlia, I just did the demo of PictoWords.  It's a fun game, but one of the words it wanted me to come up with was "pice".  The OED defines pice as "a former monetary unit in the Indian subcontinent, equal to one quarter of an anna".   Whaaatttt??  I've always thought that my vocabulary was pretty good, but any time I have to resort to the OED for a definition, I know I'm outdone!  LOL!  Thanks for the recommendation.  I love a word challenge.

Re: What are you playing?

Lady, I tried the new Amaranthine Voyage.  I like it except that it's too flashy....all the lights flashing and it is so frequent and distracting.  The game is not bad but I don't think I'll get this one.  I do have all the previous ones.  I still have not played Living Mountain CE yet.

Re: What are you playing?

Anyone try the demo for the new Hidden Expedition. I used to love the series. Still have the last one on my desktop unplayed though. Waiting until I am in the mood for an IHOG again. It has been awhile.
