I posted this in Sales, etc.  because we got into a developers discussion there.  I'm copying it over here because I think this is really where it belongs.

This is the beginning of the list....I'll add as I progress through my lists.

I'm updating with only developers, portals that sell their own games.  Developers from Barregar's list that are not listed here sell their games on their site with links back to Bigfish.  Some do not have websites that I can find or only sell through game portals.

Alawar http://www.alawar.com - sells games from several developers
Ana Wiki Games  http://www.anawiki.com - sells using Digital River, Match 3, solitaire
Artiflex Mundi http://www.artifexmundi.com - sells own games using eseller
Awem (++) http://www.awem.com - sells it's games and has coins you earn to purchase more games
Fenomen http://www.fenomen-games.com - sells own games using mycommerce, also portal for other games linking to Bigfish
www.g5e.com - game portal that sells apps for iPad, iPhone, Android, Mac, Win8
Gamehouse  (++)   http://www.gamehouse.com - portal to sell games from many developers
Gogii games http://gogiigames.com - sells own games
Grey Alien Games http://www.greyaliengames.com - mostly Match 3 using BMT Micro
Meridan 93 http://meridian93.com - links to Robin Games which uses Digital River for purchases
Mumbo Jumbo http://www.mumbojumbo.com - sells it's own games and game portal for others, gamesaver membership $6.95
Orchid Games http://www.orchidgames.com - sells it's own games, Spirit Walkers, Royal Trouble, Solitaire
Playrix  (++)

I'll work on developers list of sites that sell their own games.

It's very good for a developer if we buy direct...they don't have to share 30% or more of the profits with Bigfish Games.

Artifex Mundi was over at the new Pond which is why I checked their site.

Artifex Mundi had just released a new game for purchase on their site.

Left in the Dark:  No One on Board

It looks like a good game and is on sale for $4.99.

It's only for PC, so I am not buying right now because I'm trying to buy only Mac games.  I may change my mind though because it really looks good.

I wasn't sure where to put this so will try a new thread.  Help me out if I need to do something different.  Maybe a main thread in Gaming News, Govs?

I just found a solitaire game from Orchid Games that they are giving away free.  It seems to be a Klondike Solitaire game with very nice graphics and music.  There are also stories, but you have to win a game first which I haven't done yet.

The website is orchidgames.com.

So is gamehouse worth it?

Normally I'll demo, buy and then it gets stored in never never land.

Some games I love to own, but others ????? Not sure.

What do youo all think?

I've been considering their unlimited for awhile.  If you pay for a year, it's a pretty good deal....last I looked it was $99 for a year.  The only problem is that when you quit membership you have no games. For some games, that's fine.  I rarely ever replay HO games.

I had a Shockwave Unlimited for a year or so.  I really liked it, played a lot of games, and rarely bought games.  But I have been replaying TM/Builder games recently and regret that I can't replay some of those that I played on Shockwave (the Island Tribe games).  I also liked it because it was not Streaming, you actually downloaded the games.

So, I'm rather on the fence right now.  Gamehouse has Mac Unlimited which is the only place I've found a Mac-friendly environment.  That is what tugs me in that direction, but I'm not ready to commit for a year.  When I get some free time, I'll have to take the trial.

Sorry, I'm not much help.

<snip> How did you do in Gardens Inc?<snip>

I didn't play that game.  It must have come out when I was not playing PC games.  I have a Mac and much prefer playing Mac games on it instead of PC games on the bootcamp side.  I usually wait for the Mac version if I think there'll be one unless it's a favorite like Royal Envoy or the Rome series which both take forever to get to Mac.
Thanks for the mention on Gardens Inc...I'll go take a look at it. 👀

Gamehouse has several games that haven't appeared elsewhere yet.  They are also improving the Mac side with Unlimited for Mac.  I've been considering joining that for awhile. http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/errr.png
